Project Scheme Editing in the Scheme section

Project setting is made by means of an interactive website map. With it you can use monitoring rules to certain pages and sections of your Project. To do this, simply click on the desired page or section in the Scheme - and you will see the drop-down rules menu. The menu consists of the following rules:

  • Select all pages in the section – all child pages of the section will be put for changes monitoring, including the parent page (to apply the rule click on the parent page exactly). Selected pages will be painted with green.
  • Select only this page - only one particular page will be monitored, without regard to child pages. It will be colored with green.
  • Block all pages in the section - the parent and its child pages will be not monitored. They will be painted with blue.
  • Block only this page – only one particular page will be not monitored. It will be colored with blue.

So, in the Scheme Editing the pages are marked with two colors: green pages are monitored, and the blue pages are out of monitoring.

You can not add to the monitoring more pages than you have available in your account limit. You can find out how many pages are monitored at the moment, and how many pages are still available when you look at the counter updated during operations with the Scheme.

Attention! Important points when operating with the Scheme in the edit mode:

- You can not put out the monitor all Project pages. At least one page has to be monitored.

- Putting out from monitoring the page for which the data has been collected, you delete the data on this page!

- The rule is applied and saved just after you select it on the Scheme. The button Reset Changes cancels all changes added to the Map during the current editing.

- If after website monitoring you have free pages in your account they will be used automatically to find new pages on the monitored website. It means if a new section appears on the website, it is added automatically to the Scheme of your Project and be monitored. The pages will be added to the Project, as long as a ceiling of the free pages in your account is reached. This mode is called Auto expansion. You can limit manually the number of maximum pages for the Project. To do this, click on the link “Restrict page number for a project” and drag the slider in the window appeared to the desired value, and then click on the “Apply” button.

Note. You can not point in the slider the value less than the number of pages already in use (marked with grey in the scale). If you need to put a value less than is available in slider, turn off unnecessary pages.

Explanation how to find the page to select them for the monitor:

The Service identifies with blue color the website pages known to it allowing you add them to the monitoring, if necessary. These pages list is made by the Services using links that are in the code of the pages added to the Project, and their number, in turn, is restricted by your pages limit. For example, 800 pages have been added to the Project, and on each of them the Service has discover 10 unique links to other pages of the monitored website. Due to that in the Scheme Editing you will get to manage not 800 but 8800 pages. Thus, the more pages your Project monitors, the more pages on the website for the Scheme Editing become known for the Service.
